Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both men and women; however, many lifestyle choices can decrease one’s risk of heart disease. In recognition of American Heart Month and to support heart disease awareness, The Westerly Hospital will present a free community education program on “Topics in Heart Health” on February 22, 2012, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Westerly Hospital Nardone Conference Center.
Cardiologist and electrophysiology specialist David M. Donaldson, MD, on staff at the Hospital, will provide an in-depth discussion of cardiovascular health including heart disease prevention and risk factors, lifestyle choices that influence heart health, and an update on cardiovascular care. A question and answer session will follow his presentation.
