About Us
The Westerly Hospital is a 125-bed hospital featuring private patient rooms that provides Washington (RI) and New London (CT) County residents a wide array of medical, surgical, laboratory and rehabilitative services using state-of-the-art technology in an intimate, community hospital setting. With 130 primary and specialty physicians dedicated to the patients they serve, The Westerly Hospital serves the entire community with family-centered medical care that’s leading edge, yet respectful, compassionate, committed and accountable to our patients.
Convenient Locations
For our patients’ convenience, we offer laboratory as well as primary and specialty care services at the main Hospital building, the Morgan Medical Building at 45 Wells Street, and Wood River Health Services in Hope Valley, Rhode Island. Primary and specialty care are also offered at the Mystic Medical Center in Mystic, Connecticut.
Outpatient physical therapy services are available at our 81 Beach Street location in Westerly, RI where we offer convenient parking and access to a wide variety of equipment and clinical expertise to best meet the needs of our patients.
Diagnostic Imaging services are offered through our two convenient locations: The Westerly Hospital Imaging Center located at 116 Granite Street Center in Westerly (Open MRI, CT scan, and routine X-rays) and at our Diagnostic Imaging Center at The Westerly Hospital located at 25 Wells Street in Westerly.
Community Education and Support Groups
The Westerly Hospital offers a number of support groups and community education programs free of charge. We also offer a number of fee-based childbirth preparation programs. All programs are listed on this website.
The Future of the Hospital
The future of The Westerly Hospital will bring continued growth with a cardiac catheterization lab and expanded diagnostic services. New technologies and procedures are constantly being added, and we continue to develop partnerships with other health providers that will benefit the Hospital and the community. We look forward to the new directions we take as an institution, while maintaining our history as a community health resource.
