An Environment of Continuous Learning
To improve the knowledge of its physician staff, the Westerly Hospital offers a Continuing Medical Education program (CME) overseen by a committee comprised of a physician chairman, coordinator, several physician members, and representation from the hospital administration. The Hospital’s program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

The Westerly Hospital is accredited by the Rhode Island Medical Society to sponsor intrastate continuing medical education for physicians. The Westerly Hospital designates these educational activities for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and they qualifies for up to 1.0 AAFP Prescribed Credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
