Nine-year old boy donates video
game system to Emergency Department
|
Luke Barrs, 3rd grader
at Cohanze
Elementary School in Waterford, CT,
recently donated his Nintendo GameCube video
game system along with video games to The Westerly Hospital’s
Emergency Department. A large
screen TV was also donated by Luke’s grandmother, Sheila Barrs. Luke’s
mother, Marianne Barrs is a Nurse in the
Hospital’s ED.
Said Luke of the motivation behind his donation: “Kids
have nothing to do in the ED while they are sick, and now they will have
something fun to do.”
Luke received a Nintendo® Wii
recently and wanted to put his former game system to good use.
