Anti-Coagulation Clinic at The Westerly Hospital provides the following services:
- Regular
consultation with clinical pharmacists trained in
anticoagulation
- Extensive
warfarin education including written
materials provided to each patient and education reinforcement at
clinic visits
- A
comprehensive initial interview
- Immediate
test results and dosage adjustment
- Fingerstick
point of care INR readings rather than venipuncture
- Wafarin
prescriptions called into the patient’s pharmacy
The Clinic is open
from 7 am—noon Monday and Thursday.
