The Westerly Hospital offers two private inpatient hospice suites funded by the Alfred M. Roberts Jr. Charitable Foundation. These suites are the result of a partnership between the Hospital and Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, but they are available to any patient in need of inpatient hospice care.
Located on the surgical floor of the Hospital's new wing, both suites are designed for comfort and privacy for patients and their families. Each room has a private bath, a flat screen TV, a sleeper sofa, and state-of-the-art medical equipment discreetly concealed, but readily accessible. New flooring, wallpaper, and furniture enhance the home-like environment.
In addition, a new Family Room, located a short distance away on the same floor, provides quiet respite for family and friends visiting patients. The Family Room, underwritten by the Robert Bonner Family, includes Internet access, refrigerator and comfortable furniture.
