The Women's Health Center has the unique privilege of having International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) available 7 days week. These breast feeding specialists will help moms and babies by providing one-on-one post birth assistance, education, and support. They are also available for inpatient consultations, (ex. breast feeding mom requiring surgery) and outpatient consultations. Post partum follow up calls are made within 2-3 days to all breast feeding moms by our lactation consultants. This call gives you the opportunity to express any concerns or evaluate any breast feeding problems you may have.

The Warm Line

Our commitment to you doesn't end when you go home with your new baby. The WARM LINE connects you directly to the nurses of The Women's Health Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lactation Consultants are also available 7am - 3pm to answer breast feeding concerns.

Breastpump Rental and Sales

The Women's Health Center has available "Medela" breast pumps for rent or for sale. These state-of-the-art pumps work physiologically to simulate your baby's natural rhythmic nursing action. Outstanding hygienic quality is yet another Medela hallmark.

Occasionally, you may be separated from your baby whether it is to go back to work or just out with friends. A pump allows you to express milk which you can chill and save for later use.

Breast pumping helps relieve or prevent engorgement. It also may induce or increase milk production.

Our trained staff will help guide you in which pump will best fit your needs and give you instruction on how to set up and use your pump. Call 348-BABY.
