
The Westerly Hospital’s StrongWomen program is a supervised, moderate-intensity exercise program for women, mid-life and older. This safe, simple, fun and effective six-week program helps improve muscle strength, balance, and bone density.
The program also includes general nutrition information for bone loss prevention and general well-being.
Hospital staff, from cardiac rehabilitation and physical therapy, are specially trained as StrongWomen Program Leaders to ensure that you get a safe and effective exercise program.
Classes meet for one hour, two times per week. Cost is $48 per six-week session.
Evening Classes:
Sessions are held on Mondays/Wednesdays (at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and on Tuesdays/Thursdays (at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.) in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, 45 Wells Street, Suite 101. Call 401-348-3882 for information on upcoming classes and specific times offered.
Morning Classes:
Classes are held in the Nardone Conference Center at the Hospital on Monday and Friday mornings at 9:30 and again at 10:45. For information on any upcoming classes, call the Physical Therapy Department at 401-348-3346 .
