Free skin cancer screenings June 9 in Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT (May 27, 2022) – Free skin cancer screenings will be provided by physicians from Yale Medicine and Bridgeport Hospital on Thursday, June 9, from 4 - 7 pm, at Park Avenue Medical Center, 5520 Park Ave., Trumbull, Smilow Cancer Hospital Surgical Specialty Center, Level 1. The screenings are by appointment only. Call 888-357-2396.

Nearly 9,500 people in the United States are diagnosed with skin cancer every day and an estimated one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. However, the five-year survival rate for melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, is 98 percent when detected and treated in its early stages.
