Babar Khokhar, MD, MBA, strives to offer hope to his patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He provides a patient experience that is both comforting and optimistic. “I want to provide the support and tools available for my patients in their journey to fight this unrelenting neurodegenerative disease,” he says. “My approach is to give patients the opportunity to prolong survival with all available options and to maintain their quality of life.”
An associate professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Khokhar also uses his award-winning clinical skills to treat patients with other neurological conditions such as motor neuron disease, primary lateral sclerosis, progressive bulbar palsy, headaches, and neuropathy.
“My goal is to take care of patients coping with an extremely difficult terminal illness and support them with the resources of our entire team,” he says.
