Pre-Retirement Workshop April 16

A Pre-Retirement Workshop will be held 8 am - 4 pm Tuesday, April 16, room CH201, York Street Campus. Employees may attend on work time with manager approval. The workshop will cover estate planning, YNHH retirement, Social Security, Fidelity Investment options and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in retirement. Reminder: FaciliNet facilities management system now available

Employees are reminded to use the FaciliNet online portal for various Facilities-related queries, including requests for repairs, room access, small projects and additional space. FaciliNet users can also check the status of a request, and will receive regular email updates on requests for repairs and access. The FaciliNet portal is available 24/7 on the Corporate Facilities Intranet page.

Hospital seeks team members for AIDS walk April 13

YNHH is a sponsor of AIDS Walk New Haven, 9:30 am - 1 pm Saturday, April 13, New Haven Green. The event, to include live performances, speakers and information sessions, will raise money for services for Greater New Haven individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Training now available for April 14 Epic upgrade

Information Technology Services has scheduled an Epic upgrade for April 14. The upgrade is designed to save time and improve efficiency by incorporating a number of changes in response to user feedback. These include less clicking and scrolling and easier access to important information in one place. The upgrade is the first step toward regular Epic upgrade schedules, which mean less downtime and disruption. To prepare for the upgrade, Epic users should undergo role-specific training, available at epic.ynhh.org.

Nursing scholarship applications accepted April 1 - 30

YNHH will accept applications for advanced practice nursing (APRN) scholarships April 1 - 30. Apply online through Infor; click “Quick Links” and “YNHH Scholarship Application” for the Marna P. Borgstrom and Peter N. Herbert, MD, Yale New Haven Hospital Advanced Nursing Education Scholarships. The scholarships provide tuition assistance of up to $10,000 annually to qualified employees working toward advanced nursing education to meet requirements for an APRN license. YNHH hosting Take Your Child to Work Day

Yale New Haven Hospital’s annual Take Your Child to Work (TYCTW) Day will be Thursday, April 25 at the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. Registration forms for each location will be available April 1 - 19 on the YNHH employee intranet. The event is limited to YNHH employees’ children between ages 8 and 14. Enrollment is first-come, first-served. The YSC will have two TYCTW sessions: 8:30 am - noon and 1 - 4:30 pm. The SRC will also have two sessions: 8:30 - 11 am and 1 - 3:30 pm. Parents may apply for either session on either campus for their child.
