WESTERLY, RI (December 9, 2020) – The Westerly Hospital Auxiliary has officially kicked off its 36th annual “Lights of Love” campaign which invites the community to remember or honor a loved one by purchasing a “Love Light” in their name with denominations of $5, $25, $50, $100 or more.
In addition to family members and other loved ones, donors may choose to honor by name a caregiver, first responder, or other professional or volunteer, who has been especially helpful in this past extraordinary year.
Lights will adorn a live tree on the hospital grounds, lit by hundreds of gifts, large and small, in the spirit of light and love and the names of those being remembered and honored will be on display in the Main Lobby of the hospital.

Westerly Hospital and two unions ratify new contract agreementsWesterly, RI (November 6, 2026) – Westerly Hospital and the two United Nurses and Allied Professional (UNAP) bargaining units, which represent more than 400 employees at the hospital, have reached agreement on new multi-year collective bargaining contracts. The contracts were overwhelmingly ratified by union members in votes held this week.
