Statement regarding December 19, 2019 shooting incident in Westerly, RI

Westerly, RI (Dec. 19, 2019) – Officials at Westerly Hospital have confirmed that the hospital received one victim of the December 19, 2019 shooting incident in Westerly, Rhode Island. The patient was initially treated at the hospital and then transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital. The hospital’s emergency department is transitioning to normal operations.
