Sponsorship Requests
Westerly Hospital is committed to the communities we serve in greater Washington county and programming that directly affects the social drivers of health by enhancing peoples’ lives and by supporting local organizations that share our organizational values.
Please review the guidelines, to ensure the request aligns with Westerly Hospital’s mission, vision and values and meets at least one of the qualifying criteria:
- Address social drivers of health
- Food insecurity
- Housing/Homelessness
- Support issues concerning education
Support functions related to addressing opportunities identified by and operationalized in Westerly Hospital’s 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment
- Access to care
- Behavioral health
- Chronic disease
- Housing
- Older adult health and well-being
- Culturally Competent Care – diversity, equity and inclusion in healthcare programming such as removing language barriers and addressing implicit bias.
Sponsorship requests for the following are not permitted:
- National organizations, unless centered on a local or regional event
- Legislative advocacy groups, endowment funds, multiple-year pledge campaigns and annual fund drives
- Fraternal, political, or labor organizations
- Individuals or individual endeavors
- Sports teams (Little League, youth football, public/private school teams, collegiate or professional sports)
- For an organization’s direct capital campaign or to support operating expenses
Who can apply:
- Organizations that are recognized with a 501 (c) (3) tax status under the IRS Code. Upon approval a W9 will be required for the organization
- Sponsorships will be limited to one event per organization per fiscal year (Oct. 1 – Sept. 31)
- Requests are accepted throughout the year and all decisions will be made within 30 days to the organization via email.
