Two primary care physicians join hospital medical staff, accepting new patients

WESTERLY, RHODE ISLAND, October 5, 2017 – Primary care physicians John Lindsay, DO, and Marianne Longacre, DO, have joined Westerly Hospital’s medical staff and are accepting new patients in the community.

Drs. Lindsay and Longacre, who are employed by Northeast Medical Group, are located at 45 Wells Street, Westerly. They are in the same office as Dr. Brandon Luk, another primary care provider.

Dr. Lindsay attended medical school at the Georgia Campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Broward Health Medical Center. He has has a special interest in helping patients with chronic disease management.

Dr. Longacre is double board-certified in Family Practice and in Neuro-musculoskeletal Medicine. She also attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Massapequa General Hospital and Saint Barnabas Hospital. Dr. Longacre has practiced for 16 years in the Charlestown area.

“We’re both excited to be on staff at Westerly Hospital and working within the Yale New Haven Health system,” said Dr. Lindsay. “We’re eager to meet – and help – new patients.”

“We treat the person, not just the symptoms,” Dr. Longacre said. “We can help people with many aspects of their life. We can give advice and coach each person toward a healthier life. We see our roles as much more than prescribing a pill or making a referral.”
