Patient Care Services at Westerly Hospital offers an extraordinary opportunity for experienced or newly graduated Registered Nurses to participate in an extensive training program to the specialty area of their choice. These 10-16 week competency-based programs are design to Bridge the nurses’ experience and knowledge to provide exceptional care to patients in the specialty units. The importance of learning through direct patient care and guided educational experiences is emphasized through collaboration with content experts in the field. Each RN’s orientation includes an evidenced-based approach, preceptor guidance, hands-on clinical experience, classroom education and nationally recognized online orientation modules for each specialty.
