Westerly Hospital Offers Strongwomen Exercise Program

WESTERLY, RI, November 15, 2017 – Starting in December, Westerly Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department will be offering new sessions of Strongwomen, a supervised exercise program to help women over 50 maintain muscle mass and preserve bone strength.

Starting on December 6, two evening class sessions be offered twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, one at 6:00 pm and another 6:45 pm, and will run for a total of six weeks. In addition, beginning January 4, a 4:30 pm session will be offered once a week on Thursdays and will run for twelve weeks.

All classes are held at the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Center located in the Morgan Medical Building on 45 Wells Street and are led by an exercise physiologist.

The cost for the 12 sessions is $48. To register, call (401) 348-3882. Space is limited.
